Kanye West was supposed to drop his ninth studio album last Saturday, but it did not happen. Later on TMZ, he said the reason was that he “did not finish” the album on time. Also, he added that a member of his management advised that the release be postponed to a later date.

According to Kanye, the album has sounds the general public has never heard before, concepts we don’t talk about. So in two weeks, he will be here in our continent to add that “missing touch” into his album, and that “Africa influenced” Album will be available on November 23, which is known in America as Black Friday.

I could not understand clearly what Kanye meant to say when he spoke of “energy”, but he seemed convinced that he could only get it here, in “what is known as Africa”. Believe me, this is really intriguing, but I guess we will find out more soon enough.
In the meantime Africa is not a country yet, but a continent with 54 internationally recognised states. So where exactly Kanye might go to find that “vibe”?

Kanye has a lot of African friends, but there is one who appears to have a special relationship with him. I am talking about Virgil Abloh, the current artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s wear collection. Both men interned at Fendi in 2006 and got into a collaborative relationship ever since. In 2011, the Ewe man became the creative director of Donda, West’s Creative Agency, and also served as the artistic director for the 2011 Jay-Z/Kanye West album Watch the Throne.

Looking at the relationship West has with the founder of Off-White fashion label, there is a high probability to see him in Ghana soon.
