Within a matter of weeks, we’ve seen an EP from Dremo, two singles from Mayorkun, and a music video from Davido. One thing is certain, the DMW crew members are not sleeping, they are indeed working.
A few days ago, the audio version of “Aza” was released and fans were already moving to the beat of the Fresh VDM produced tune. Now that the official video is released, one more element has been added to the dreamy Afro-pop song.
After watching the video, you might find it difficult to see a match between the lyrics of the song which are about love, and the visuals which show traditional heritage. It seems the director’s work focused more on the instrumental sounds and less on the lyrics. This is a perfect example of how differently music works for all of us 😎
The video was shot in the Rivers state capital, Port Harcourt by international music video director, Clarence Peters. Clear shots, native elements, amazing cultural particularities, the video attempts to show a rich and beautiful part of Nigeria. Duncan Mighty is probably the most vibrant personage in the video, which is not surprising giving the fact that he made Port Harcourt his base.
An inspirational message to all Nigerians ends the video:
“…Nigerians are proud, Nigerians are resilient, Nigerians are strong, and no one can tell us any different”
